How It Works
How pip value is calculated.
A pip is the smallest standard price move. Its value depends on your lot size, the pair, and your account currency.
The Formula
Pip Value = Pip Size × Contract Size × Lots
For pairs quoted against your account currency, 1 lot (100,000 units) of EUR/USD moves $10 per pip. For pairs where the base is your account currency (e.g. USD/JPY), the result is divided by the current price. Total Value = pip value × number of pips.
